The primary responsibility of this position is to serve as a liaison between key business users and Information Technology management and software development teams. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, interpreting, reviewing, validating, documenting and maintaining business and functional requirements for TRS software applications.
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Equivalent knowledge and experience directly related to the position may be substituted.
Experience:
A minimum of four years of experience as a business analyst within an Information Technology environment is required. Experience in Agile Software Development Life Cycle is strongly preferred.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will serve as the primary interface between business users and the Information Technology team. This position will evaluate requests to determine feasibility by researching and identifying options that best serve TRS business needs. The incumbent may be required to present formal presentations and conduct structured walkthroughs with business and project team members. In addition, this position will participate in application acceptance testing, identify potential problems and assist with researching opportunities to minimize complexity. The incumbent must possess the ability to easily assimilate information and learn new applications and processes. The ability to anticipate problems proactively and take appropriate actions to mitigate negative impact is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
The incumbent must possess excellent analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Must have the ability to communicate (written and verbal) complex information to various business and Information Technology teams. The ability to adapt to changes in direction and priority is required due to the variety of required assignments.

Under the direction of the Delivery and Quality Assurance Manager, this position will collaborate with key business users, cross-functional teams and IT staff to ensure IT solutions meet business needs. The incumbent will develop, interpret, review, validate, document and maintain business and functional requirements for software applications.

The incumbent must possess excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. The ability to easily assimilate information and learn new applications and processes is required. The incumbent must be creative and innovative. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum methodology. Must possess the ability to work in a team setting and be motivated to work at the highest level to achieve success during Sprint work.
The greatest challenge of this position is to translate business needs in a way that allows for an efficient and effective process design that is forward thinking and aims at achieving the strategic goals of the organization.
