Position Overview

Provides support to teams by testing the performance and efficiency of systems or workflows completed by development teams.

Applicants with sufficient experience will be brought in as a Software Quality Engineer II with commensurate pay related to title.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist subject matter experts in defining detail testing and acceptance criteria to ensure work is completed according to the user expectations.
  • Develop test cases and support the development of test plans; conduct testing and assist with issue resolution of application systems.
  • Document process workflows.
  • Maintain the standards and procedures for Agile framework at TRS by following Agile Principles.
  • Will need to be able to think logically and creatively. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with team members, and other stakeholders, such as programmers, managers and end-users acting in Business Analyst capacity.
  • Have the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to details.
  • Maintain current technical skills.
  • Working knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum methodology.
  • Requires a minimum of one year of progressively responsible experience in a quality assurance testing role including writing and executing test plans and test cases.
  • Equivalent experience with TRS business software that is directly related to the position may be substituted. Experience with Agile/SCRUM environments preferred. 
  • Associates’ degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field of study is preferred. Equivalent job experience that is directly related to the position may be substituted.
