The Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide deferred compensation consulting services to the Teachers' Retirement System.

The successful applicant will provide ongoing consulting services in the management of the System’s 457(b) optional deferred compensation plan for eligible members. The successful applicant will demonstrate experience in providing research, analysis, and advice including strategic direction, investment fund research, monitoring/reporting, and support for administration of TRS’s deferred compensation plan.

TRS is issuing this RFP because the five-year contract of the System’s current deferred compensation consultant will expire later this year. The incumbent is invited to submit a response to this RFP. Under state law, contracts for investment consulting services are limited to a maximum of five years.

All proposals responding to the “Request for Proposals” for must be submitted via email to TRS by 2 p.m. C.S.T. on October 3, 2023.
