TRS reviews your beneficiary form at the time of your retirement. Your life situation may have changed since then. Join this webinar to review the benefits available to both you and your survivors and how to make changes if needed. 

Retiree Health Insurance | 1:30 p.m.

Teachers' Retirement Insurance Program (TRIP)/Teachers' Retiree Advantage Illinois (TRAIL) 

TRIP is the primary medical and prescription drug program for retirees who are not yet eligible for Medicare. TRAIL is the Medicare Advantage program for retirees who are Medicare eligible. We'll cover how and when retirees transition from TRIP to TRAIL, discuss enrolling if never enrolled in the program and re-enrollment in the program.  

W-4Ps & 1099Rs | 2:30 p.m.

Changes occur to tax laws almost every year. We'll discuss federal withholdings and how to change it for the upcoming tax year, 1099-Rs and how to request a duplicate 1099-R form. Note that TRS cannot give tax advice.

Who Can Talk to TRS About My Account? | 3:30 p.m.

POAs and Permission to Provide Information  

TRS will not provide member-specific information to anyone other than the TRS member unless permissions are on file.  Learn how to set up your TRS account in the way that allows us to provide the best information to the right people on your behalf. If you have a Power of Attorney who handles your affairs or you would like a family member to be able to ask or receive information about your retirement benefits, join this webinar.
