SPRINGFIELD – The Teachers' Retirement System of the State of Illinois (TRS) and the Board of Trustees extend their deepest condolences to the families, first responders, and all those impacted by the devastating event in Chatham, Illinois. The tragic loss of four young lives and the injuries sustained by many others have left a profound impact on the community and beyond.
"As an organization that supports Illinois educators, we feel the weight of this loss alongside the state’s entire educational community," said Stan Rupnik, Executive Director. "Our hearts go out to the families and individuals suffering during this difficult time. It is during these moments that we draw strength from one another, leaning on our communities, our families, and our shared commitment to support each other."
